Retirement Planning for Women

Women need to save more for retirement because they are at a higher risk for retirement insecurity as compared to men.  According the report Shattering the Glass Ceiling: Women Need a Three-Legged Stool, published by the National Institute on Retirement Security,
accumulating assets is more difficult for women because they live longer, earn less and have less access to pension plans during their working years compared to men.
